Refund Policy

This Refund Policy forms part of the Terms and Conditions of Dtech Softwares. It applies to purchases made through dtechsoftwares.com and to invoices we issue, unless a signed quotation or contract states different commercial terms. Last updated: 29 September 2026.

1. Digital licences

Software is licensed, not sold. A licence key can be activated at once. For that reason we do not offer a change-of-mind refund after a key has been issued or activated.

If the product is defective — it fails to activate in accordance with our published process, or it does not materially match the description at purchase — you must notify us within seven (7) days of purchase. We will first attempt a reasonable remedy (activation help, replacement key, or a fix). If we cannot remedy the defect within a reasonable time, we will refund the licence fee paid for that product, less any non-recoverable processor charges where the law allows.

2. Templates, courses, and downloads

Once a digital download, course seat, or template file has been made available to your account, fees are not refundable except where the file is defective and we cannot supply a working replacement.

3. Custom software and professional services

Deposits and milestone payments are earned as work proceeds. Sums for discovery, design, or development already performed are not refundable. If we cancel an engagement before work of substance has begun, we will refund prepaid fees for that cancelled work. If you cancel, you remain liable for work properly performed and for costs reasonably incurred, as set out in the accepted quotation or contract.

4. Maintenance and support retainers

Annual maintenance fees are for a service year. They are not refundable in respect of a year already commenced, except as required by mandatory law or as stated on the invoice or signed maintenance agreement. Unused time after a valid 90-day notice at year-end is not pro-rated unless we agree otherwise in writing.

5. How to request

Email info@dtechsoftwares.com with your order or invoice number, the product, and a clear description of the defect or reason. Approved refunds are returned by the original payment method where the processor allows. Chargebacks initiated without first contacting us may result in suspension of the related licence pending investigation.

6. Tax invoices

Where a refund is made, we will issue any credit note required for Ghana tax purposes.
